The CAD/CAM Process

The WOL-CERAM® CAD/CAM system can also fabricate custom implant abutments and custom copings.

The CAD/CAM system consists of an integrated laser and milling unit. It uses the Electro-Layering Ceramic process (ELC) working along with laser technology in order to scan waxed up patterns a die or implant abutment, generating dimensional data that is processed and displayed in 3-D on the screen. The wax up is removed and a layer of material is coated on to the die or implant abutment which is then milled back to the preset parameters.
